Lunch time caught me fishing the Courtney Campbell Causeway and I remembered that I wanted to try the Indi's Chicken place that's on the main road to down town Clearwater. It was in a track center with ample parking. It was a busy place with mostly city workers and the elderly. My first bite of spicy chicken brought Buffet Americana to mind. From the San Fernando Valley to Martinsville and much of rural America in between, the food had that "flavor" typical of a hometown buffet. The chicken was moist, flavorful and had a good amount of spiciness. I tried mashed potatoes which were nice and buttery with a so so gravy. The veggy rice was better in my opinion, more flavor. The cole slaw was not to my liking, I should have tried the greens or yams. A very friendly staff greets, serves and entertains. I was very dissappointed that my 10 piece "to-go" order had 5 thighs, my least favorite and greasiest piece of chicken and only 1 drumstick which is our entire families favorite piece. Unfortunate when folks that nice will screw you over when your not looking.

I'm not hard to please but I'm no pushover either. I've had fried chicken from all over Florida and was truly about to give up finding anywhere I really liked... Then Indi's was recommended to me by a coworker. My wife and I drove over on a whim to give it a try, and it's hands-down the best we've had yet! Juicy, and not greasy. Flavorful, but not overwhelmingly so (with the perfect batter). The shrimp was fried perfectly, and the sides were equally great; I especially enjoyed the greens, mac n cheese, and sweet potatoes. If you appreciate simple, delicious, and clean food, I say give Indi's a go, you can't go wrong!

Was I surprised. I drove over 30 miles to try this and now I wish Indi"s was in my neighborhood. This was the best crispy chicken ever. No lie. The owner was friendly and the staff went above and beyond to explain everything since it was my first time there. The chicken pieces are huge and not greasy at all. Great selection of sides. I will definitely drive again to get more delicious chicken

This place has amazing fried chicken—perfectly crispy and really juicy. You can tell it’s freshly made. Great taste, good portion, and the price is very fair. Highly recommended!

Let me start out this adventure with word of mouth. I was talking with my mom one day and she told me how her friend went to Indi’s chicken and the food was excellent, of course I had to give it a try so I jumped in the car and made my way down. Walking in you notice the open kitchen and everything is super clean including the bathrooms which I always check first. I get greeted by a very friendly young man as I’m greeted I smile and tell them “I heard you got some of the best fried chicken in Clearwater” and I’m going to say this is correct. The staff were friendly and labeled the box’s cause I like mine spicy. I picked up order of regular fried 3 piece chicken, a 3 piece of spicy fried chicken, and a brisket dinner. Along with this I picked up sides of collard greens, wedges, sweet potatoes, and mac and cheese. The chicken was fried perfect and just enough spicy the way I like it. The brisket was super tender in chunks and I got both the regular and the spicy bbq which I enjoyed both. The wedges were perfect crispy and fried, but do have a slight kick so you know. They made some of the best collard greens I have had in awhile. Mac and cheese was good, the sweet potatoes really to
